With collaboration and co-creation at the heart of Ladli, Ladli has succeeded in designing interventions in the field of skill training, substance use, sports, quality education and others, in association with Delhi Police and Department of Education, Government of Delhi. Ladli being an active supporter of information sharing, knowledge transfer and capacity building wishes to engage your esteemed organisation on matters of skill development through physical exercises, inclusive of psychology as well as physical growth. The program is designed to engage the young boys and juveniles in extracurricular activities to divert them from substance abuse. It runs on the M.D.I. formula of psychological counseling, i.e. Motivate, Divert and Involve individuals into activities, which are psychologically, physically and socially productive. This program was launched by Ladli foundation in collaboration with Delhi Police. The project has directly benefited 4000+ young boys & juveniles in Delhi. They are running this initiative at grassroot level in highly crime prone slums of Delhi by focusing on engaging potential young criminals and delinquents in sports activities during vulnerable hours. They involve them in intensive physical training and reward-based tournaments by providing nutritious diet of banana and black chana and motivate them through specially designed orientation, career counseling workshops, motivational & mental health sessions for diverting them from consumption of drugs & substance abuse to reduce their participation in crimes and anti-social activities.
After the 90 Days physical training and grooming they enroll them with Delhi Police YUVA Program for vocational and skill trainings & employment opportunities for their socio-economic development. Currently 2000 Boys aged 16 to 20 are being benefitted with this program in 20 Police Stations Areas of South, South West, Rohini, Outer & North West Districts of Delhi. Through this Initiative, they wish to build a force of young minds who can be given a platform to rise above their circumstances and build a life beneficial for themselves as well as for society. Their aim is to engage all the beneficiaries into other activities, if not sports. Participants who are unable to exhibit their talent in the activities of dance and sports will be given a chance to enhance their personal development and knowledge by different mediums. This will enable us to provide a fair chance to motivate and encourage the youth, which is the ultimate goal here. The ultimate motive and objective of the organization of such tournaments and activities is not to prove the best person but to bring out the best in them and motivate them, so that they continue to put in the efforts, hard work and divert their energy from unproductive and channelize it towards productive activities. Each contribution made towards this project will assist us in providing better facilities and assistance to these young boys, leading to a better intervention program.
