Interest-Free Loan and Scholarship for Higher Education is the flagship program of United Way of Baroda running since 2005. It is a need-based program designed to help the underprivileged students of Gujarat to complete their education. This project ensures that less privileged students of Gujarat who are needy and want to work hard to become professionals are provided support to complete their education. The students are selected through six levels of scrutiny process for selection. The project provides interest-free loans/scholarships for a college education. The project also provides mentoring support, personality development, and free laptops to the students and improves the standard of living of their family in the long run. The project is supporting 743 needy students in the form of scholarships, loans, educational kits, and various fee payments. Out of the 362 graduated students, 333 students are employed in National and Multinational companies, and rest are continuing for higher studies.
