MITCON Foundation, was appointed as a consultant for formation of common Interest Groups / farmer interest groups / producer groups for crops and livestock for Amravati, Aurangabad, Buldhana & Parbhani Districts of Maharashtra under World Bank assisted Maharashtra Agriculture Competitiveness Project in the year 2012. The scope of work included base line survey, organizing awareness campaign, developing the capacity of producer groups, financial management – assisting and facilitating the group about finance transactions fordeveloping & establishing accountability system. About 1000 group were targeted. In every group there were 20Farmers, thus about 20,000 Farmers benefited.
