Shri Wagheshwar Gramvikas Prathishthan consistently and sincerely working for the development of under-privileged sections of their society through its social and educational activities. Their aim is to start new courses/streams of Medical, D. Pharmacy, nursing college for which we are constructing 3 new buildings namely -

• Building C (Build up area – 4529.97 Sq.M.) for College of Science and Nursing college;
• Building D (Build up area – 3075.69 Sq.M) for Ladies Hostel;
• Building E (Build up area – 5658.04 Sq. M) for Medical College.

This project covered under clause (ii), (vii) of Schedule VII to Companies Act, 2013. Further, United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number 4 target “To Build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, nonviolent, inclusive and effective learning environments for all” by year 2030.

Beneficiaries:

Currently they have 4 educational school/colleges but it is not sufficient to increasing number of students and courses. On completion of this project more than 3000 students will be benefited each year along with the teachers and villagers of shirur taluka.

Social impact of the project:

• Increase in number of students
• Starting new courses will widen the scope of opportunities for student’s
• Increasing employment opportunities due to higher education
• Development in research and technology with practical learnings
• Availability of facilities like reading/study room, internet, printer, scanner, SMS and email awareness services to members and inter library loan to students
• The science building will be used for the research in science and technology with the aim of meeting the local requirements. The practical approach will be taught with the real-time and real-life experimentations.
• Hostel facility will allow girl students to live away from their home in safe environment for their education

• Starting the new courses with reasonable fees which is affordable to economically backwards students
• Hostel dedicated to ladies with all the facilities in low cost will save the time of travelling and reduce the cost of living
• Empowering women’s and Minority groups to gain their Fundamental Rights as the educated women are working towards minimizing the gender equality gap.
• In creating employment opportunities for the individuals and rural youths from the near areas, and is trying to stop migration to the cities and thus it prevents excessive strain on urban areas.
• Providing educational helps to the poor children/below poverty line community of the society.
• Holding donation camp, and medical camp to provide medicines, ambulance facility and other medical help to the poor, needy and old persons.
