Project Description


Training of candidates in skills and framing those skills to offer them the industry oriented training. We highlight the strengths & skills to every individual and framing the same as per the industry requirements.

The foundation had its focus towards the short term soft-skills training with the huge textual content. We as an implementing agency share the content in a simpler context which was familiar to the planned target beneficiary and thought of proceeding with the training session and making it more practical and interaction oriented.

As a responsible corporate Tech Mahindra Foundation works on the SMART training Centre Model which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely implementing strategy.

We at Jai Laxmi Education Society implemented the training program as a CSR Implementing Agency for Tech Mahindra Foundation benefitting the underprivileged youth of the society. The project started in the locations of Thane and areas within the district of Thane.

The target beneficiaries were categorized to be between the age group of 18- 30 years and expected to be 12th pass or fail or qualified above 12th and to be unemployed.

The mobilised candidates are to be trained in Diploma in Banking & Finance of the BFSI sector, for the duration of 12 months along with the JLES support skill training program.

The project started in the month of May- 2018 where the total of 56 candidates were trained in the diploma course impacting the lives of 46 candidates by employing them within the corporates.

The second batch of the project had already started and is expected to employ more than 40 candidates out of 60 mobilised candidates which would result in the total of 86% candidates linked to employment.

The 46 candidates placed from the project are employed in the corporates with the job roles of banks, marketing, financial companies and sales profile. The team of JLES does the profiling of the trained candidates and makes the candidates aware of his strengths, weakness, and skills expertise and places them in the relevant corporate industry.


Post training, tracking and assistance of these candidates are done further for 6 months.

Similar project will continue for another two years under the flagship of Tech Mahindra Foundation –CSR program. For the first year 100 candidates were proposed to be trained under the CSR funded program, creating an impact on 100 candidates to complete the training program and 80 % of those, to be successfully employed with tracking on career guidance & assistance for next 6 months. The program continues for 3 years subsequently.


Special Features of this project:

The project is currently being implemented and 1st batches of 50 have been successfully trained of which almost 50% are employed and rest in process of getting employment. All the candidates employed are in BFSI sector within the corporate Industry.
