School Transformation Programme

Organization : Yuva Unstoppable

Location : Pan India

Project Description

School Transformation via WASH: Under this initiative, we construct and upgrade existing school infrastructure beginning with water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) amenities like drinking water, dish wash areas, urinals & sanitation, sheds & Gazebos in play areas, painted & well-kept walls & exteriors, colorful & value-based wall paintings, and learning aids like proper blackboards for classrooms & stationery. We also mentor the students to maintain these facilities through behavioral change sessions including health & hygiene – daily routine habits, WASH practices, Menstrual Hygiene Management, and Mental Growth - Self-belief & Gratitude. We make schools a better place for the children to learn and grow.

School Transformation via Digital Classrooms: In July 2015, YUVA created its first systematic and modular Smart class structure - an interactive learning platform combining traditional learning with modern technology for improved outcomes. It comprises of: an integrated learning tool - Smart Board or K-YAN, interactive multimedia content, interactive experiment & concept simulations, scientific & educational videos, and teacher training & capacity building. Most recently, in partnership with Google for Education, we serve “Future Classroom”, a solution, which is a digital learning zone for teachers, students and parents to experience 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. It comprises of Chromebooks, Chrome Management Console, Google Apps for Education, Digital Content, and Teacher Training & Capacity Building.

Fellowship: The Fellowship program at Yuva recruits Fellows full-time for 2 years to implement educational, social, and awareness activities at government schools. At Yuva, they are given the right resources and a platform to achieve their goodwill under this program. It facilitates them to contribute effortlessly and effectively to the process of implementing social and awareness initiatives at government schools. Our Fellows are agents of change and social ambassadors recruited to monitor; direct and implement all our educational activities on the field. They are drivers of social upliftment at the grassroots level and irreplaceable pillars of our core endeavors.
