CYDA gives hope to the underprivileged in Pune during COVID-19
With COVID affecting the poor the most, Pune based Centre for Youth Development and Activities (CYDA) is making sure they are able to survive the pandemic.
There are enormous requests and different types of calls they receive, from students wanting to go back to native town, migrant men grief stricken due to separation from families and some from senior citizens needing help.
They are working very closely with the Police department as well as Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and district administration of Nandurbar, block administration of Jamkhed and Indapur. And also have been supported by organizations as well as many individuals.

Till date, they have distributed 3229 family ration kits, reaching over 15000 affected people. Direct cash receipt from (HCNF (250kits), Tdh (100), Forbes Marshall ( 244), Tata Motors (600); ACG ( 550); HCLF ( 84)& also the contribution from various individuals. They are also given kits by Save the Children India ( 500); Mukul Madhav Foundation (410); Nashik ( 25) to distribute. Other than this they facilitated the distribution of kits prepared by Sarva Seva Sangh & Streevani ( 481).
Their major focus has been a support to vulnerable sections like Sex-workers, Kinners, migrant labors from the outside city and outside the state. Also, to support the poor families, pardhi and nomadic communities and daily wage earners.
