Empowering Children, Youth & Communities: ChildFund India's Ecosystem Reaches 500,000 in Rajasthan

ChildFund India, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to child development, introduced multiple interventions since 1980s in Rajasthan.

These interventions have come a long way and today include 107 PENCIL (Protective, Effective and Context-based Initiation of Learning) Centers, 3 Youth Resource Centers, 4 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Labs, 2 Agriculture Resource Centers, 12 Child friendly Gram Panchayats, 24 Children Clubs, 40 Youth Clubs and trained 320 Mentor Mothers. These program has been meticulously crafted to address the unique educational requirements in India. With over four decades of impactful presence in Rajasthan, such program has successfully served the community. Notably, Mr. Isam Ghanim, President & CEO ChildFund International USA is making a special visit to Rajasthan to commemorate such a significant milestone.

At present, the programs are running in 132 villages across 6 districts of Rajasthan. The project has impacted the lives of 500,000 children, youth and community members and it continues to grow.

Furthermore, ChildFund India has their interventions in the government schools of Rajasthan, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Labs. These labs support problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, decision making, leadership, entrepreneurship, and acceptance of failure. Whereas the Youth Resource Centers (YRC) - YRC are also set up in communities which provide physical spaces for young people to come together and interact.
