Grand Maratha Foundation, a non-governmental organization known for its work across Maharashtra collaborated with INALI Foundation to help differently-abled individuals with “free prosthetic hands”. A total of 100 beneficiaries within age group of 16 to 60 years were provided with prosthetic hands for free. This association intends to encourage people from lesser privileged economic backgrounds to become self-reliant and gain economic independence.
As the Grand Maratha Foundation’s mission is to empower the underprivileged through various initiatives, this collaboration with INALI Foundation assists their vision by providing prosthetic hands to the specially handicapped. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Rohit Shelatkar (Founder, GMF), Ms. Madhavi Shelatkar (Trustee, GMF) and Mr. Prashant Gade (Founder, INALI Foundation).
Speaking on this initiative, Mr Rohit Shelatkar, Film Producer & Founder, Grand Maratha Foundation said, “Our association with INALI Foundation to help 100 differently-abled people reinforces our aim to empower those with limited resources and means. A prosthetic hand can motivate the beneficiaries to continue with their daily lives without any hindrance and earn their livelihood to support themselves and their families.”
