Kaydee Foundation Partners with Narayana Health to Improve School Restrooms for Girls in West Bengal
Kaydee Foundation has partnered with Narayana Health to implement a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiative in West Bengal's districts. This initiative aims to provide school-going girls with clean water, proper sanitation facilities, and hygiene education. These essential necessities are crucial for improving the overall well-being and health of communities, particularly among school children, especially girls.
The objective of this program is to create a lasting impact on the lives of these young individuals, empowering them with knowledge and resources to lead healthier and more dignified lives. After conducting a thorough survey and adopting a need-based approach, we have identified schools for intervention. The focus is on transforming their outdated facilities into modern sanitary complexes that cater to the needs of female students.
The new facility represents the school's commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of its students. A notable feature of this facility is the inclusion of a vending machine and incinerator for sanitary napkins, made possible by the efforts of the Kaydee Foundation. The vending machine is stocked with Klinfeel sanitary napkins.
Mr. Kuldip Maity, Director of the Kaydee said ”Kaydee Foundation believes in investing in communities for a better future, and we are honored to collaborate with Narayana Health to create a beneficial influence on the girl students' lives. Through this initiative, the girl students at the selected schools are now provided with a state-of-the-art sanitary complex equipped with all the modern amenities they need to live a healthy and clean lifestyle while attending school."
