MCL signs Rs 5 crore MoU with ALIMCO, Benefit around 10,000 people with orthopaedic disability in Odisha

Nearly 10,000 deprived people with orthopaedic disabilities in Angul, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Sundargarh of Odisha will be provided assistance and apparatus by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) at a cost of Rs 5 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In this view, MCL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment for providing support and appliances to the disadvantaged people with Orthopaedic condition in its fourth operational district in Odisha.

The memorandum was signed on Tuesday afternoon by Mr A K Pandey, General Manager (CSR), MCL and Mr RK Mathur, DGM and in-charge AAPC- Bhubaneswar (ALIMCO) in the presence of Dr DR Sarin, CMD, ALIMCO, Kanpur and Mr B B Mishra, General Manager (Civil), In-charge MCL office, Bhubaneswar.

MCL is the highest contributor to Odisha under CSR and is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited.
