NCL signed Contract worth Rs 95 lakh with Sonbhadra administration for education, Infra Development
Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company of the Government of India, is doing meaningful work in many areas like health, education, skill development, nutrition, infrastructure development in the direction of sustainable community development under social corporate responsibility in the surrounding area. The Social, educational and economic development of the local citizens is being ensured.
In this sequence, the Dudhichua area of the company, making remarkable efforts towards the upliftment of the poor, tribal, and backward sections of the society, has signed a contract of Rs. 95.00 lakhs with the Sonbhadra administration.
This contract, concluded under Corporate Social Responsibility, was signed on behalf of NCL by General Manager, Dudhichua Region Shri Anurag Kumar and Deputy Commissioner, District Industries Center Sonbhadra Shri Rajdhari Gautam. According to the contract, this amount will be made available to the district administration by the Dudhichua region in two installments.
Under this MoU, computer lab, solar kitchen, central sound system, CCTV, WiFi, TV set, etc. will be arranged for 1000 students studying in “Sevakunj Ashram” operated in Chapki village of Mayorpur block of Sonbhadra district.
Along with this, adequate furniture, mattresses, sheets, water coolers, utensils etc. will also be arranged by NCL here for the comfortable stay of the students in the newly constructed hostel.
NCL has built the ongoing construction of hostel, kitchen and dining hall
Dudhichua area of NCL has also constructed 24 rooms hostel, office etc. for residential education of tribal children at Sevakunj Ashram located at Chapki at a cost of Rs.506.29 lakh. Along with the hostel, the construction work of kitchen and dining hall for one thousand children is also going on here for about 205 lakhs.
With the construction of this hostel, better residential education will be available for the children living in remote areas.
