Nayara Energy, an international downstream Energy Company, has partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to implement Project Excel in Jamnagar and Dwarka districts in Gujarat. This ground-breaking initiative aims at fostering inclusive growth and creating opportunities for local communities.

One of the key areas of intervention under Project EXCEL is ‘Enhancing Access to Employment’, which includes the implementation of the '21st Century Skill Development Programme.' This program covers 50+ essential topics including communication, interview skills, digital literacy, numeracy, leadership, time management, risk mitigation, and entrepreneurship.

Since its inception in August 2021, the program has been successfully implemented in 18 institutes, the District Employment Exchange in Jamnagar, and various villages, encompassing both urban and rural areas. Through the Youth Employability Service (YES) Centre and community centres, youth receive comprehensive support, including career guidance, counselling, and post-placement assistance. With Nayara Energy's partnership, a total of 3,455 youth have received training under this program, unlocking their potential and paving the way for a brighter future.

Furthermore, Nayara Energy's commitment to empowering youth extends beyond employability skills training. Through specialized courses, such as the beauty and wellness program and the Course on Computer Concepts (CCC), over 200 youth have been trained in beauty and wellness, while more than 40 individuals have successfully completed the CCC course, further expanding their skill set.

The impact of Nayara Energy's collaboration with UNDP was celebrated at a recent Certificate Distribution Ceremony held at the Vadinar YES Centre, where over 100 candidates from six batches of the 21st Century Skills Development Programme were honoured for their achievements.
