Umang Association for the Blind and Panacea Infosec Partner to empower blind people
Through a unique partnership, Panacea Infosec Pvt Ltd, a leading cybersecurity audit, compliance, and consulting firm and Umang Association for the Blind have partnered to enhance the skills of people with visual disabilities and make them employable as well as self-reliant. Deepak Jain, Panacea Infosec Pvt Ltd, and Sajiv Kumar Mehta, Founder of Umang came up with a special program to assist people with vision problems find employment and skill-building opportunities.
The program encompassed a wide range of skills-related initiatives to assist blind youth to earn a living and learn soft skills that are essential to their futures as well as computer skills.
Additionally, Panacea Infosec, a leading cybersecurity audit, compliance, and consulting firm, got the opportunity to provide the support for food, clothing, health assistance, and all other daily necessities to Umang. Panacea Infosec is taking care of all expenses of these 29 people including 9 girls with disabilities during the lockdown.
Ultimately, this initiative leads to them becoming confident and skilled, with a sense of self-belief instilled in them. They are ready to take up responsibility in the corporate world.
Elaborating the given assistance by Panacea, Sajeev Mehta, Founder of Umang said, “People with disabilities frequently face discrimination, so they need specific support for their integration and participation in their community, The disabled and displaced had regularly suffered due to Pandemic Lockdown. During that tough time Panacea Infosec came like an angel and saved the lives of 29 blind people. I have no words to express my gratitude. It was a great help.’’
