BMCWS is a public charitable trust reaching out to the underprivileged at urban/rural levels.  We are a sustainable social enterprise conducting outreach programs with the financial support of Corporates/Private Sponsors.  We have 3 low cost hospitals with ultra modern equipment: Dr. Tilak Hospital, Worli, Rajgurunagar Rural Hospital, Pune and Malwadi Bhilwadi Rural Hospital, Sangli.  Our Cancer Convalescent Homes in Mumbai have 102 wards providing  hygienic accommodation to upcountry  patients  who travel to TATAs for chemo/radio therapy.  We run 3 Day Care Centers in Mumbai  at Vile Parle,  Goregaon and Parel catering to  600 children.

We conduct Rural Development Programs in 92 villages of Rajgurunagar Taluka in Pune  since 2008 covering a population of 3 lacs and our activities include:

Education - We have installed E-Learning systems in 344 ZP schools.  We conduct MS CIT & MS Office courses for the rural youth and have a mobile van going around villages teaching computers.  We have  nurse/dai training course for girls.  We have given Educational support to 18 deserving students & distribute school kits.  Many students have benefitted by our Nutritional Support  &  bicycle distribution.

Infrastructure - We have installed solar panels in 283 ZP schools and 119 tribal households to maintain a continuous flow of education & livelihood.  Besides renovating 20 ZP schools, we have created 24 playgrounds in ZP schools.  

Healthcare and Hygiene - We have a Medical Van that goes to 61 villages with doctors and nurses for ANC & PNC, OPD treating patients for common illnesses, Yearly medical check-ups are carried out in schools, Advocacy is  given to  eligible couples, Gender inequality & sensitisation, Sex education is given to students along.  Infant Complementary Feeding program ensures that newborns get an adequate diet.

Women Empowerment and Skilling - We hold doorstep tailoring classes and have set up a sanitary pad manufacturing unit too.  We conduct martial arts training,  horticulture training, ceramic, craft, rangoli and mehendi classes.  

Meaningful Environment - We made water available in Kaman, Vetale & Kanhewadi villages & 15,000 banana  & 6,280 fruit trees are planted in BPL backyards.

• BMCWS is playing a crucial role in the present Indian scenario.  We are trying to  fill the gaps created by the government in the field of rural education, development of youth,  healthcare, women empowerment, vocational training  and meaningful environment.  We strongly believe that perceptible change in mind-set of rural people is Rural Development.  
• The budget of any project is its USP.  Our budget is in line with our proposed activities and the quoted cost is as per the current market norms of the implementing area.

The Bombay Mothers and Children Welfare Society (BMCWS) is driven by an urge to give back to society.  Social upliftment is a gigantic task which cannot be carried out only by the government.  It requires everyone to participate.  We along with our team are always ready to innovate and take calculated risks.

BMCWS has an alignment of mission, vision, values and offers credibility, expertise and reach in Partnerships.  Corporates should partner with BMCWS  if they are looking to tackle social and environmental issues that matter to them.

What we do at BMCWS

• We visit rural areas trying to find out their problems in order to support a cause
• We form a strategy to help them solve the same - Our team brainstorm after looking at the pros and cons 
• We send proposals to Corporates for funds to enable us carry out our goals
• We keep the donor informed  weekly about the action taken by us
• We are happy to see the rural people improving their lifestyle
• Impact is achieved by the donor and the NGO at large enabling us bridge the gap between urban and rural India.
